Little Square Farm LLC Cleaning Service started out in April 1996 as Dynaclean Cleaning Service.  I had decided to start my own cleaning service after working for another cleaning company for 4 years. I never thought it would be that easy to start a new business, but it picked up quicker than I ever imagined. For years I was working 4 days a week,  cleaning for 27 clients. I like to stay with around 20 clients now. 

For the first 8 years  I used store bought cleaners, not knowing how harmful they were for me but also the people I was cleaning for. At that time I really didn't think about what I was using other than it did what I needed. Then one weekend Chris and I attended the Athens Sustainability Festival. There we met Cindy Parker of Herbal Heart Healing. She was giving a workshop on green cleaning, and was promoting the recipes from the book "Clean House, Clean Planet". From there I was hooked when I found out how easy and inexpensive it was to make my own non-toxic cleaning products, that did just as good of a job as store bought. I recommend this book to everyone when they ask what I use.

I'm also putting together a small booklet of the cleaners I use the most with a few others mixed in. I also try to be sustainable in the tools I use as well, such as rags that can be washed and reused and my mop that has washable pads as well as my sweeper that is bag-less.  

Chris and I have also become sustainable in the business minded aspect also, by combining the businesses together earlier this year. That is how I came to be Little Square Farm LLC  Cleaning Service. I've been cleaning for most of my clients so long that they've become my very good friends. Best thing I ever did for myself and my family.
